The forum and exhibition were organized by Shanghai Services Federation Shipping and Cruise Economy Service Committee and Tiger Cruise Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., with China Cruise Design Alliance as the co-organizer.
The forum gathered nearly 300 attendees from well-known enterprises, experts, scholars, and industry elites in the cruise ship-building field. Wang Junli, Secretary-General of Chinese Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering; Chen Shuai, Deputy Mayor of Shanghai Hongkou District People's Government; Zhou Ying, Second-Class Inspector of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission; Sun Jianping, President of Shanghai Services Federation, delivered speeches. Lu Qingdong, Vice President of Shanghai Services Federation and Director of Shipping and Cruise Economy Service Committee, presided over the opening ceremony. At the ceremony, the unveiling of Cruise & Yacht Committee (Shanghai) of Chinese Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering also took place, with the Shanghai office of the Cruise & Yacht Committee being located in Hongkou District. This Committee will focus on promoting the research and development of cruise technology, advancing the formulation and implementation of policies and regulations, strengthening international exchanges, which is of great significance for enhancing the overall competitiveness of China's cruise industry. This forum is themed "Accelerating the establishment of China's independent cruise shipbuilding and supporting system, and building a new industrial development landscape". Participants included senior executives from shipyards such as Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, Guangzhou Shipyard International, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Weihai), China Merchants Shekou Youlian, Shanghai Huarun Dadong, and Chongqing Changhang Dongfeng Shipbuilding, as well as Fincantieri and Meyer Werft. It also attracted senior leaders from cruise lines such as Adora Cruises, Huaxia Cruises, MSC Cruises, Shanghai Blue Dream Cruises, Tianjin Oriental Cruises, and Bohai Cruises. Additionally, high-level representatives from renowned institutions such as CSSC Cruise Technology, China Telecom Shanghai Branch, Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute, Wuhan Yangtze River Ship Design Institute, CCS, BV, DNV GL, RINA, Liberian Registry, and Tillberg Design of Sweden attended the exhibition. A series of activities were held during the exhibition. Notably, the cruise ship (passenger ship) supporting B2B negotiation meeting was held for the first time, and the organizing committee invited total assembly enterprises such as Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Guangzhou Shipyard International, as well as interior decoration general contractors such as R&M, Huanan Building Materials, and Shanghai Construction Engineering Decoration Group, to engage in face-to-face, in-depth exchanges and pragmatic cooperation discussions with domestic supporting enterprises of interior decoration materials. This event aimed to jointly explore cooperation opportunities and lay a solid foundation for future cooperation between the parties, which is of positive significance for excellent domestic supporting enterprises to enter China's cruise ship supporting supply system and accelerate the localization rate of China's cruise ship supporting industry. China International Cruise Ship-building Forum and Exhibition has successfully held six editions so far. It is the only professional cruise ship (passenger ship) construction exhibition in Asia and the best way to keep abreast of the latest products and technologies in global and Chinese cruise ship construction. It provides industry professionals with a face-to-face, comprehensive, multi-layered, and authoritative platform for exchanges and cooperation. It has practical significance in accelerating the formation of the cruise ship manufacturing and supporting industrial system in Shanghai, establishing the Shanghai model of cruise economy consisting of a "hub port + headquarters port + manufacturing port," and promoting high-quality development of the entire cruise industry chain in China. |
