Domestic and foreign experts and industry leaders delivered presentations on accelerating China's self-reliant cruise shipbuilding system, sharing valuable experience and insights. These speeches not only provided rich industry information and market trends but also analyzed current development trends and future prospects. Concurrent events included exhibitions of domestic cruise technology achievements, B2B procurement negotiations for cruise supply chains, university-enterprise talent matching sessions for cruise design & construction, classification society certification training for cruise interior materials, and domestic cruise product promotion activities. In recent years, China's cruise shipbuilding industry has gained increasing attention, with national ministries and commissions issuing policies to support the design, construction, and development of supporting industrial chains. China has now become a key player and driving force in the global cruise market. The country's first built large cruise ship, Adora Magic City, has been successfully in operation for 20 months, while the construction of the second large cruise ship, Adora Flora City, is accelerating, with plans for delivery by the end of 2026. China International Cruise Shipbuilding Forum & Exhibition (Shanghai) has successfully held seven editions, making it the only professional cruise (passenger ship) shipbuilding forum in Asia. The event focuses on cruise shipbuilding and its supporting industrial chains, providing a face-to-face, comprehensive, and multi-level platform for collaboration among upstream and downstream enterprises in the cruise industry. |
